Welcome back to Let’s Talk About It, where hosts Ken Greller and Alex Bedder have caught the Oscar fever, and need to purge all the entertainment buzz around the upcoming ceremony ( ENTERTAINMENT BUZZ! Don’t you LOVE that phrase?). Before they get to that however, the two chit chat about the spectrum of gender, their Blizzard Nemo experience, and the complexities of both this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and The Out 100 Eligible Bachelors.

Fade in on a girl, with a hunger for fame, and a face, and a name, to remember… Yeah, you get the drift. The two homos are gonna talk about SMASH. WELCOME BACK TO LET’S TALK ABOUT IT! This week the boys begin the show by chatting about the grimmest subjects - haters and midwinter, and it makes them feel. In fact, they have a lot of feelings to share, from a distant memory of being lost at the mall, to the end of the Cheers of our generation, 30 Rock, to the euphoria that was the Beyonce Bowl.

That’s all before they are joined by special guest (the most preferred non-regular billing among the Jennifer Hudsons of the world) MATTHEW KELLEY RAND, an act-OR and super fan of the infamous NBC soon to be cult classic, SMASH. Episode 4: Nightlife and Fabulousness

Hello subjects of the country now known as The United States of Dereon. Did you also put your hands on your television screens so Beyonce could “feel your energy” during the Halftime Show? Because we did. And the feeling that we got maybe the same thing you feel when you listen to this week’s Texas-sixed episode of Let’s Talk About It. Hosts Ken Greller and Alex Bedder chat about everything from their handsome crush Eliot Glazer’s turn as Oprah in his new webseries and revealing a secret attraction to Seth Macfarlane, to Magic Mike’s Oscar snub and Anne Hathaway’s “veganism”. Then all hell breaks lose when the pair discover they wrote essays about their favorite Oscar category, Best Supporting Actress, and race politics in Hollywood, and an unfortunate impression of Mo’nique’s early comedy routine occurs.

But, before things get a little too weird and culturally anaylized, they are joined by the effervescent and brillant Madison Moore, a pop scholar who recently graduted from Yale with PhD in American Studies, to talk about nightlife and fabulousness. How does it feel to be an answer on NPR’s Wait Don’t Tell Me? What does it really mean to have a “kiki”? Why is there a gay bar in New Haven with an Anne Frank mural outside of it?
